Evaluation of the reliability and homogeneity of a diagnostic test on the use of open educational resources in higher level teachers

Resumen

La necesidad de las instituciones de educación superior para actualizar y capacitar de manera continua a sus docentes requiere de la búsqueda de estrategias que permitan garantizar el dominio de herramientas didácticas, además de conocimientos disciplinares. Por tal motivo, uno de los tópicos a considerar en este estudio, es la elaboración de recursos educativos, mismos que son evaluados durante los procesos de acreditación. La presente investigación realiza el diseño y la validación de un instrumento a manera de encuesta, que permite analizar el conocimiento y opinión sobre el uso de recursos educativos abiertos, dentro del proceso de enseñanza aprendizaje, específicamente en cuanto a la creación de infografías y videos interactivos mediante las herramientas digitales Genially y Edpuzzle. La validación consistió en analizar la confiabilidad y homogeneidad en la prueba diagnóstico del instrumento utilizado mediante el uso del Alpha de Cronbach a través del software SPSS IBM, obteniendo resultados satisfactorios. Este instrumento es parte de una investigación referente a la implementación de una metodología de capacitación orientada al diseño de recursos educativos por los docentes de nivel superior.

The current need for higher education institutions to continuously update and train their teachers requires the search for strategies to ensure the mastery of didactic tools, as well as disciplinary knowledge. For this reason, one of the topics to be considered in this study is the development of educational resources, which are evaluated during accreditation processes. The present research carries out the design and validation of an instrument in the form of a survey, which allows us to analyse the knowledge and opinion on the use of open educational resources within the teaching-learning process, specifically with regard to the creation of infographics and interactive videos using the digital tools Genially and Edpuzzle. The validation consisted of analysing the reliability and homogeneity in the diagnostic test of the instrument used by means of Cronbach's Alpha through the SPSS IBM software, obtaining satisfactory results. This instrument is part of a research project concerning the implementation of a training methodology aimed at the design of educational resources for higher education teachers.
